Stephen Lynn Kirkwood passed away Friday, April 15. He fought a quiet but very courageous battle against cancer. He was born and raised in Lake City, Illinois. Stephen is survived by Sharon, devoted wife of 33 years, son Michael (Monica), daughter Andrea, stepdaughter Jana (Sean), and two granddaughters Nikki and Ryleigh. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1993. Retiring as a Hull Tech Master Chief. He continued his mission to keep our Navy's ships afloat working with Federal Resources from 1995 to 2016. Stephen was actively involved and will be greatly missed by members of the Lions Club of National City, SNAME, ASNE, and Propeller Club of San Diego.
