STEPHANIE ANNE DAVIDSON, 70, of La Mesa, CA, passed away quietly at home after her courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, Col. Stephen J. King, USAF (Ret.); mother, Lily Ann (nee Harrison) King; a baby brother, John Andrew King; and a baby sister, Margaret Mary King. She was born in Akron, OH, on February 3, 1947 and grew up in various locations around the world as the eldest daughter of a career Air Force officer. She attended Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA and studied art at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University in Virginia. She worked in both the commercial and residential real estate industry for 32 years, and was most recently a Broker Associate with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services California Properties and a long-standing member of the San Diego Board of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She had selflessly taken on the duties as main caretaker for her father for the past 10 years of her life until his passing in August, 2016. In addition, she made time to volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Greater San Diego and provided both meals and comfort to the elderly and homebound residents of Point Loma, CA for 15 years. She is survived by her siblings, Catherine (Michael) DeCenzo, Ashburn, VA; Maureen (David) Downey, Florence, AZ; Madeline King, Santee, CA; Patrick King, Gaithersburg, MD; and nieces and nephews, April Bolduc, Nicole (John) Brennan, Amanda DeCenzo, Andrew (Ashley) DeCenzo, Lissa Downey, Ryan (Nyomi) Downey, Scott Downey, Patrick Kelly, Alexander King, and Katherine (Michael) Robison. Affectionately known as "Slim" or "Biggie", she will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, loyal friend and devoted mother to her two dogs, Beau and Ricky. She was an animal lover, gardener, artist and a free spirit with an exuberant passion and zest for life. Details regarding a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to: Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego 2254 San Diego Avenue Suite 200 San Diego, CA 92110 "A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself and only herself." ~ Maya Angelou
