Do not cry that it is over……..Smile because it happened ~ Dr. Suess Phyllis Jeanne Lowe, 82, of Chula Vista passed away April 11, 2017. She was born in Mesa Arizona September 18, 1935 to Albert Lee and Viva Myrtie Young and was the youngest of 4 daughters. Phyllis married Noble Dale Lowe in 1962 and together they raised three children. Scott Craig Lowe, Penny Jeanne Lowe-Silva and Shawn Colin Lowe. Noble preceded Phyllis in death in January 2007. Phyllis worked in the hotel industry in Arizona as a front desk clerk eventually working her way up to the accounting department where she fell in love with that type of work. In 1971, Phyllis & Noble moved their family to San Diego County where she became a controller of the Royal Inn hotel chain. After the hotel chain closed, Phyllis was hired into the HOA Industry where she was also a Property Manager for several years. In 1987, Phyllis opened her own management company where she handled several homeowners associations located throughout San Diego County. She oversaw all aspect of the business from the property management to the accounting. When her husband was diagnosed with cancer, she sold her business but continued to work in the HOA industry until his death when she retired. In her retirement years, she split her time between California and Arizona until settling in Poway California for the final 4 years of her life where she was constantly surrounded by her family & friends all of whom gave her great joy. Phyllis is survived by a sister, Dora Downs of Friendship Maryland, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and four years ago was blessed with her first great-great grandchild, Annabelle Jeanne, making her the Matriarch of 5 generations.
