Olive Lucille Jordan Forsythe, 84, passed away peacefully in her home on October 23, 2026, surrounded by her four children.
Born in Carthage, Indiana, Olive lived a life filled with faith, family, friendship, laughter, and adventure. With her bubbly personality, beautiful smile, and fun-loving spirit, she brought joy wherever she went and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
When Olive met Arthur David Jordan, it was love at first sight. By the age of 21, she was the proud mother of four children: Deborah, Connie, Artina, and Art Jr. She and Art shared a life together until his passing.
Later, Olive was blessed to find love again with Norman Forsythe. They shared more than 20 years of marriage and companionship until his passing.
Family was always the center of Olive’s world. She truly believed that family was the most important thing in life, and she lived that belief every day. Her family grew to include 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all part of the beautiful legacy of love she leaves behind.
Above all, Olive loved the Lord. She faithfully studied her Bible every day, drawing strength and comfort from her faith. Her love for God was reflected in the way she cared for others and cherished her family.
Olive knew how to have fun! She loved to travel, especially cruising, and embraced the excitement of new adventures. She also enjoyed playing cards with family, where gatherings were filled with laughter, friendly competition, and treasured memories. Outgoing and full of life, Olive had a special gift for connecting with people. She made friends easily, maintained lifelong friendships, and had a way of making people feel welcome and loved.
Olive’s life was a beautiful reminder that faith and family are life’s greatest blessings, and that there is always room for laughter, adventure, and a little fun along the way. Her beautiful smile, joyful spirit, and deep love will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now home with the Lord she loved so dearly.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
