Morris passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the presence of his loving wife, Mary Alice. He leaves a loving son, David Bunting (Viki) and extended family on the East Coast. He fought a courageous ten year battle with lymphoma and leukemia.
Morris was a first generation American from a family that fled Eastern Europe during very dark times. He was raised in the loving household of a widowed mother and eight siblings. Through hard work and determination, the siblings all managed to graduate college and create talented and loving families.
Morris joined the US Army in 1946 and after discharge, graduated from Penn State University using the GI bill to obtain his BA. He became a radio announcer for WRAW in Reading PA, then went on to a career in retail, becoming a Vice president of a home center corporation.
He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Boston area, was on the Civilian-Military Council in the Cape Canaveral area of Florida, was a former San Diego County Honorary Deputy Sheriff Association member, and for a time was a reader for the blind at SDSU. After retirement, he assisted his wife, Mary Alice, in her busy real estate career.
We cherish his memory.
