Michael Paul Hynes of El Cajon, California, passed away after a short battle with cancer on September 22, 2017. Michael passed peacefully while surrounded by his family. Mike was born to Mary Kathryn Hynes and Franklin Paul Hynes on October 21, 1961, in Long Beach California. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Kay, and is survived by his father Frank Hynes of Portland, Oregon, his twin daughters Kayla and Krysta Hynes of San Diego, his sisters Liz Hynes of San Francisco, and Karen Abel along with her husband Jason of San Diego, California. Mike's childhood obsession for all things mechanical turned into a lifelong career as a Master Auto Mechanic. Mike was most proud of his girls…. He loved being a Dad. Mike was grateful to live the last twenty years of his life clean and sober and was always willing to support others in their struggle. Mike had a passion for classic cars, Led Zeppelin, and a great home cooked meal. Those who knew Mike remember his easy going generous spirit. He will be missed. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, California at 1:00 p.m.
