Maximo Masarap Benavidez (79 years old) peacefully rested in his home and joined his creator on the 23rd of May 2016 at 1:19 PM. He was born on the 18th of November 1936 in Pililla, Rizal, Philippines to the late Lamberto V. Benavidez and Maria T. Masarap. He has five siblings namely, Casiano Benavidez (deceased), Feliza Benavidez-Martinez (deceased), Honorio Benavidez (deceased), Minelia Benavidez-Bides and Nestor Benavidez. In 1968, Maximo met Elvira L. Diaz in Tacloban City while working as an Accountant of Phil. Veterans Bank, Tacloban Branch. They got married on the 28th of June 1969 and were blessed with five children: Maria Caridad, Gilbert, Maximo Jr., Elma Brigida (deceased) and Michael. He traveled to America in 1984 and worked as a certified nurse attendant for 16 years. He was finally reunited with his kids in 2002 and with his wife, Elvira, in April of 2008. Maximo's untiring love for God and family was so uplifting, that God rewarded him a very peaceful and fruitful life on earth.
