Lucienne "Lucie" Forcier

M. Lucienne Aline Forcier returned to her Heavenly Father on September 8, 2026. Aunt Lucie was well loved by her many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Lucie was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1926, part of a large family with a strong Christian faith in the Catholic Church. Lucie loved music and would sing in the church choir and play piano and organ every chance she could. She came to San Diego in 1953 and stayed with her sister and her family. Lucie fell in love with San Diego and remained, working for many years for General Dynamics retiring in 1993. 

A founding member of our Lady of Grace Church in El Cajon, Lucie was active in the church as a Eucharistic Minister, volunteering often. At Christmas, she would wear a Santa Claus outfit she had made as a teenager to entertain the children at church and in her family. She would happily tell stories about the many times she dressed as Santa and handed out gifts. A strong and independent woman, she will be missed by her family and community.
