Larry Bob Creel, surrounded by family was welcomed into Heaven on June 4, 2016. Larry was born March 21, 1949 in Dallas Texas to Mary Josephine and Johnny Bob Creel. Larry's family moved to California in 1963 where he attended and graduated from Helix High School in 1967. After graduating high school he attended Grossmont College. Larry was a star athlete in High School, lettering in varsity football and golf as a junior and senior. He was a wide receiver on the championship football team that went to the CIF final in the football season of 1966. He was a divisional championship member of the golf team of 1965 and 1966. A broken shoulder while at the Grossmont College would end his days playing competitive football. Larry's passion for Golf did not end with school. He ould pick up his sticks every chance he got and continued playing throughout his life. Larry would follow his father and brother in the automobile industry. He would gather the knowledge needed to propel him into the motorcycle business while in his early twenties. Larry's success found him as the co-owner of three Kawasaki motorcycle stores in San Diego. After several successful years of business, Larry sold his motorcycle store. Larry then started a vegetable business in down town San Diego that gave him the opportunity to work with his Mom. Taking care of his Mom and family was always paramount to Larry. Once again an outside buyer would purchase that business as well. Larry would once again join working with his brother in the automobile industry. The next 15 years would generate accolades within the San Diego automobile industry that were earned and well deserved. The phrase {The Dallas CarBoys} was affectionately used for the brother team that was in perfect sync. You would not find two brothers any closer in their relationship than the Creel brothers, nor more respected in the automobile industry. In 2010 Larry's life changed with a series of strokes. The culmination of these strokes would eventually render Larry's health as fragile and required assistance for his daily care. His family would rally to Larry's needs. Over the following the years, Larry's sister Sandra, Debra, and Jo were hands on in caring for Larry and his well-being. He never complained and was always so thankful! Larry had so many great qualities. He was well liked and well respected. He worked hard and played harder. He loved his daughter and enjoyed special times with her. He made everyone laugh and sometimes cry. He cast a positive influence on those around him. Those associated with Larry received many blessings from the way he interacted with people. He was loving, caring, a great joke teller. He will be truly missed and forever will be that special son, brother, father, friend, and uncle. Larry is survived by his daughter Alison Creel of San Diego, brother Mike Creel and his wife Linda of Escondido, his sisters Jo Creel Barrett of San Diego, Sandra Creel-Pitt of El Cajon, Debra Creel Sesma and her husband Dennis of San Diego, Joni Creel Anderson and her husband Ron of Trabuco Canyon, 4 Nieces, 4 nephews and 1 great niece and 1 great nephew.
