Julie A. McCoy (nee Doerge), 49, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the third child of Bonita and Pete Doerge. She attended Riverview and Richland High Schools and was a cheerleader. She earned a bachelor's degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Julie was a bright, dynamic professional in the health care and automobile insurance industries. She also brought her energetic, caring spirit when she was with friends and family. She was the life of the party, loved to dance, and made us all feel special with balloons, cake, and gifts when there was something to celebrate in her loved ones lives. Julie loved spending time with her cats Mittens and Cali, and participated in the work of pet adoption agencies. She also volunteered at the Food Bank in Santee, CA. Like her mother Bonita, Julie was interested in nutrition and healthful, vibrant living. They had a special heart bond and went into eternal rest and peace together within a day of each other. Julie is survived by her father Pete, brother Bill, and sister Diana, all living in San Diego.
