Josefina Paulino Taitano, 77, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Lakeside, California

Born on June 22, 1948, on the beautiful island of Guam, USA, Josefina devoted her life to family and education. A caring mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she touched countless lives both at home and in the classroom, where she served as a dedicated educator and teacher.

Josefina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, devotion, and commitment to nurturing others will live on through the many lives she shaped.  She is survived by her children Jerald P. Taitano; Tanya and Chris Concepcion; Joshua and Johnnie Rosario Taitano; and Troy and Beverly Babauta Taitano; as well as her 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

She will meet her son Thomas S. Taitano III, and grandsons Isiah Jus Taitano, and Michael John Franquez at the gates of heaven.

A Vigil Memorial Service will be held on February 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Home, located at 7043 University Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942.
