Jane Marie Mays, 68, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at home with family by her side. She was born in Crosby, MN on November 7, 1949 to parents Catherine & Arthur Martinetto. Jane was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She met her husband Warren Mays while working at the same restaurant in San Diego. They married in 1984 in San Diego and raised one son. The Mays family has called El Cajon & The Church of St. Luke their home since 1994. Jane served as a speech pathologist for her entire career and spent over 35 years in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. She had a love of gardening, cooking, baking, helping others, and spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren. She is survived by her son Grayson; her sisters Carol, Mary, Roberta, Sharon, & Susan; and her brothers James, John, Paul, & Peter. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at The Church of St. Luke, 1980 Hillsdale Road, San Diego CA 92019 at 1pm; with a reception at home to follow.
