James Kelley Courtney passed away early Monday morning, March 13th. He was the light of our lives, and the beloved son of Tom and Donna Courtney, brother Steve Courtney, and sister Katherine Courtney. James graduated from San Francisco State and was working on his Masters' degree in History at San Diego State University. James was a joy to all to all he encountered. He had a great ability to find humor no matter what the challenge. His love of family was unwavering. He was a man of many talents, and was known for his amazing vocabulary; he was a natural storyteller. James was also passionate about running, hiking, and rock climbing. His spirit will live on in all the lives that he has touched.
