Henry entered this life on October 9th 1922 in Thompsonville, Connecticut and entered into rest on March 8th 2016 at the age of 93 years in La Mesa, California. He will be deeply missed by his sons Stephen Louis Menard, Robert Alan Menard and William Grant Menard, nephew Ray Darwell, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Joyce Marie Menard, daughter Marilyn Christine Rodgers and brothers William Menard and Joseph Darwell. Henry has resided in the San Diego and La Mesa, California area for the past 77 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 through 1946 and afterwards worked as a civilian for the Navy at North Island as a Aviation Metalsmith and Progressman. Henry and his wife Joyce took extensive trips in their motor home and covered forty six states and Canada. They also took tours in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Henry loved watching sports and enjoyed following his favorite teams, the San Diego Padres, Chargers and Aztecs. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a very caring and loving person The family held a private remembrance service and inurnment will also be private.
