Family, Friends, and Faith were important parts of her life.
Helen was born in Cherokee, Kansas on February 5, 1920 to Ralph and Edith Willard. She enjoyed her childhood in the small Kansas town of Fort Scott with her beloved siblings. She moved to San Diego in the 1940's with her sister and soon was introduced to a sailor, Gerald Spath, by her coworker and friend, Lottie Whitt. They married in 1947.
Helen was an avid reader and worked the daily U/T crossword puzzles faithfully. She loved entertaining family and friends, traveling and camping, genealogy, flower gardening, and decorating her home.
Loving wife to Gerald for 69 years, she is survived by her husband, sons Gary Spath, Jeff and Synda Spath, daughter Leslie Spath, granddaughter Kelly and husband Isaac Trout, and great grandsons Kamden and Kyler Trout. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Erin.
A life well lived and loved, rest in peace.
