Gurley Napoleon "Nap" Sellers III 1947 - 2021 Gurley Napoleon Sellers III, of Kearny Mesa, CA, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. Born July 13, 1947, in Mexia, Tx. son of Gurley Napoleon Sellers Jr. and Margaret Sellers. Preceded in death by both parents. Survived by his wife Cheri J. Sellers, children Gurley Napoleon Sellers IV, and Brett Eugene Sellers. Also survived by grandchildren, Bridget E. Sellers, Bradley N. Sellers, and Breanna E. Sellers, and great-granddaughter, Zoey V. Stuckey. Gurley Sellers proudly served in the United States Navy, on Submarine for 30yrs, when he retired as Master Chief. Gurley Sellers often shared stories with family and friends of his time in the Navy as this is one of his proudest achievements. Gurley loved living in the San Diego area, and his beloved Schnauzer, Umi. A private service is scheduled for March 16, 2021, at Miramar National Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Legacy funeral home.
