George Neal Brown was the only son of George Brown and Emma Brown of San Diego, CA and was born July 16, 1932. His father was the first African American to become a member of the Electrician's Union in San Diego and his mother was a teacher who prided herself on her amazing rose garden. George Neal Brown graduated from San Diego High School in 1952. His yearbook quote stated he intended to go to Yale to major in psychology, but instead he went to community college in San Diego for a short time and then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953. He served until 1965. He spent many years traveling and working overseas in the military as an inspector and instructor and continued to live and work overseas as a civilian. He's lived in Greece, Portugal, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, to name just a few places. He worked for Hughes Helicopters, Northrop, Lockheed, and Rockwell, among others. Once he retired from aerospace, George settled in San Diego and worked as a refrigerator repairman and also enjoyed working as a security guard. George was lovingly called Mr. Brown, Dad, Daddy or Pops by his children. He was affable, generous and kind to everyone who knew him, although he covered it with a "grumpy" act. He would share his last dime with you and complain, but he was always generous. George Neal Brown was an avid movie fan and died with a collection of hundreds of DVD's and watched Star Trek, Babylon 5, Star Wars, The Clone Wars and even Game of Thrones. He loved cars just as his dad did, and owned at least 2 Cadillacs, a Thunderbird and his first car was a 1940 canary yellow, convertible Buick when he was 16 years old. His survivors include his first ex-wife, Joyce E. Brown, and his children from the marriage are Katrina A. Brown, George L. Brown, Ulrike Brown (daughter-n-law) Gerald E.
