Frank M. Jodzio entered life on December 20, 1943 in Dearborn, Michigan to his parents Theodore Joseph Jodzio and Helen Mary Jodzio. He passed away peacefully on December 2, 2017 surrounded by his wife and children.
Frank is survived by his wife of 27 years, Victoria; his sons Scott (Rebecca) and their two children Jeremiah and Savannah; Derek (Irina); and Jordan as well as his dog Scarlett all of which he was grateful to have by his side on his final day. Frank is also survived by his brothers Theodore and Gregory; and his sister Juni.
Frank grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and attended University of Detroit High School (U of D Jesuit) before attending John Carroll University outside Cleveland, Ohio for his undergraduate degree in English. He subsequently attended Loyola University Law School in Chicago for his Law degree. After graduation and passing the Illinois Bar Exam, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army as a JAG officer. He went on to serve our country and was deployed to Da Nang, Vietnam in 1970 during the Vietnam War.
After Frank returned to the United States the Army sent him to Ford Ord in Monterey, California. He had many fond memories of his time there and spoke about golfing at Pebble Beach early in the morning fog on multiple occasions. After rising to the rank of Captain Frank left the Army in October 1973 to pursue his dream of a career in Law.
This brought him to San Diego, California which is where he spent the rest of his life. It is there in which he built up his law practice and his family. Frank passed the Bar Exam in California in January 1971 and was a practicing attorney in Southern California for over 45 years. Frank also shared his love of sports with many that were around him, including his sons, which involved many trips to baseball and hockey games with him being a Season Ticket Holder with the San Diego Padres starting in 1974 and the San Diego Gulls in 1999.
A service will be held with military honors at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on January 12, 2018 at 9:15am.
