Frank Garey, resident of San Diego, CA passed away on June 14, 2018 at the age of 86. Born in New York State, he completed his BA at Brooklyn College, settling in Brooklyn with his wife Diana. For much of his life, he worked for New York State in various capacities, including personnel and administration. Frank believed strongly in equality and fairness, and espoused honesty in life and in service to government. His interests included current events, politics, reading, debating, birding, music. He loved to travel to faraway lands and distant nations, capturing meaningful photographs and learning about other cultures. He was a superb cook of both ethnic and traditional cuisine, often preparing elaborate meals for his family. He is survived by his daughter Alyssa and son Evan, and his sister Hope. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
