It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved Francisca Paredes Flor has returned to be with our Heavenly Father. After a brave battle with breast cancer, our precious Francisca passed away in Santa Rosa, California on Friday, October 6, 2017.
Born August 30, 1963 to Carlos and Maria Ninfa Paredes, Francisca grew up in Mexicali, Baja California. She attended Central Union High School graduating in class of 1982. Francisca later went on the graduate from the DeLoux School of Cosmetology July 6, 1984 and Rosson School of Hair Design and Barbering in 2007.
She met and fell in love with her husband Galo Vicente Flor in El Centro, California in 1985. They were sealed for time and all eternity at the San Diego California Temple on June 6, 1986. On May 7, 1988 their daughter, Jovanna Judith Flor, was born. Their son, Samuel Alejandro Flor, was born April 14, 1996.
Francisca was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was an elegant woman who had a generous and brilliant soul. Her warm hands and heart were dedicated to her family and work. She will be remembered for her beauty, grace, and inspiring strength. Her memory will forever be cherished by everyone who's life she touched. She is survived by her husband, children, siblings Marisa Carbajal, Rosa Saenz, Carlos Paredes Jr., Javier Paredes, Norma Paredes, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with be held on Friday, October 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Carlsbad at 1975 Chestnut Avenue. Viewing and visitation will begin at 9:00 am followed by the funeral service at 9:30 am until 10:30 am. We welcome all to stay afterwards to celebrate her life and enjoy potluck refreshments. Francisca will be laid to rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Miramar National Cemetery with a small service for immediate family.
