Felix G. Carmona, 79, passed in peace on December 26, 2017, with family by his side in San Diego, California. He is preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Gonzalez; father, Jose; brother, Refujio; and son, Carlos. Felix was born in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1938 and immigrated to the United States in 1966. Felix was granted citizenship in 2009 and was proud of his accomplishment. For many years, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Mann Packing and O'Shita Corporation in Salinas, California. After retiring, he then moved to the San Diego area. Felix was an avid Home Depot shopper. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and working on his properties. Above all, he enjoyed having his family around him and had the honor of witnessing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Felix is survived by his wife, Josefina; sons, Felix (Toni) and Arturo; daughter, Lupe (Joey) Arambula; brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Home in La Mesa, California from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. A mass will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. Felix will be laid to rest at Holy Cross cemetery directly following.
