Donald Kichio Inai passed away on December 9, 2022. He was born on December 3, 1945, to Arthur Yoshito Inai and Kinuko Fujimoto in Rocky Ford, Colorado. He is survived by his children Raul, Kenzo, and Deanna; bother Robert, sister Marjorie; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Don served active duty in the US Army during Vietnam. He was an avid fisherman always looking for the next big catch along the 9-mile bank looking for that all-elusive kelp patty. He was known for his sense of humor and big heart and was quick to volunteer his time and services to those in need—completing countless home projects for the price of a hot meal. As an active member of his local community, he was a major contributor to the beautification of the community signage.   He was proud of his 30+ years of sobriety and was a valued member and mentor of his AA community. His dedication to others with compassion and empathy was integral in the continued success of others' sobriety.   Donald was truly grateful for every day he lived and could always be counted on for a hearty laugh during the good times and comforting words during the challenging times. He will be forever missed. He will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery at 1:00 pm on January 10, 2023.
