Dennis Huls was born in San Diego and married Jacquline Colla in 1964. He was drafted into the Army in 1965 and served in Missouri for two years. Upon completion of his service, Dennis and Jacqueline returned to San Diego where they settled and raised their family. Together they had two children, DeAnn Remsburg and Dennis Huls II, and four grandchildren that he cherished. Dennis was a Press Photographer for the San Diego Union Tribune for 38 years and anyone who worked with Dennis has a story about what a character he was. He had a passion for baseball cards, sports memorabilia, and spending time with his family and friends. Dennis will be dearly missed. A brief service will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on Monday, August 7th at 11:00am. To honor Dennis we encourage you to come in your favorite Hawaiian shirt.
