Cyndee Huss died of pancreatic cancer on January 22, 2016. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she moved to San Diego early in life with her parents John and Helen Anderson.
Family was an integral part of Cyndee's life, and she was the genealogist of her family. She had a way of remembering small details about people that brought them to life. We know her grandfather by her stories of the way he wound his watch. We know her father by the way he held his cigarette and by his kindness to his clients at San Diego Trust and Savings. She told stories about herself, too. She had wonderful memories of being an Alpha Phi at San Diego State, a stewardess and promotional model for PSA, and that platinum blonde in the bright red convertible with Gigi, her white Standard Poodle, sitting next to her in the front seat. These are now our memories.
Cyndee's absolute loves were her daughter, Hillary, and her grandsons, Jace and Zane. Micke, as Jace called her, believed in them and was always, always their biggest supporter.
Her other love was for animals. In 2004 she started Wags and Whiskers Loving Pet Care, a pet sitting company. All of her clients, both animal and human, became part of her family. Locked out of the house, last minute trip, or sick pet? Her clients called Cyndee before they called anyone else.
Cyndee was complex; she always told you what she thought. Her love, however, was endless. We will miss you, Micke, always.
