He was a man of great character and compassion. He helped many friends, and family, with his generous way of giving of himself. He enjoyed many hobbies, as bike riding, swimming, archery, hunting, and many more. He loved the outdoors. He loved to cut trees, and gave a lot of the wood away as gifts. He retired from San Diego Fire Department as a Captain for 30 years. He was in the Navy as Under Water Demolition Team 11 in the Korean War. Chuck touched so many lives with his humor and wit. He was the father of five children, grandfather of ten, and great grandfather of ten. Three children preceded him, and one grandchild. He lived his life to please, and make everyone's life better. He will be missed by so many, but his life will go on, as his memories will always be with everyone who loved him. I was blessed to have Chuck in my life for 45-1/2 years. He made my life complete.
