Resident of La Mesa CA. Bev Hill passed away peacefully into eternity, on July 1, 2017 in the company of her family and friends. She was born to George and Lois Bain and raised in La Mesa with her sister Barbara.. She was a graduate of Helix High School in 1976.. Bev also graduated from San Diego State in 1983 with a degree in Psychology and a teaching certificate. Bev was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by everyone she met. .She taught for over 30 years. Her specialty was reaching children with Behavior Issues and helping them modify their behaviors. Bev was the life of the party and loved to travel. She was a veteran of many cruises and took innumerable trips around the country. Her last trip was to the east coast to see family in Maryland and to see New Yankee stadium. From their first year as a team she was a Padres Fan. On multiple occasions she would go on road trips and follow the team from city to city. She retired from teaching in 2013 She will be greatly missed by all. Bev is survived by her only son William Hastings Bruce of Logan Utah, her sister Barbara Bain Mello (Robin) of El Cajon, and 5 cousins around the country A public celebration of her life will be held at Legacy funeral Home in La Mesa from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday August 20 2017. Her ashes will be disbursed in private family ceremonies
