On August 4, 2016, beloved mother and wife, Bette Lou Rosenberg, lost her battle with Cancer and passed away at her home in Del Cerro, surrounded by family. She was born on April 2, 1932 and lived a full and wonderful life with her husband, Harold, in a marriage that spanned over 57 years. She was orphaned and separated from her three sisters when she was just two years old. She was adopted by the Hoving family and raised on a farm in Holland, Michigan. This vivacious child blossomed into a beautiful, talented, artistic woman who left Michigan as a young adult to pursue her dreams in California. Her career path was nothing short of glamorous; modeling, exploring her artistic creativity in the fashion industry and pursuing her love of dance performing as a showgirl at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas, where she met and fell in love with Harold Rosenberg, a romance that flourished for 60 years. Together, they raised three children, Shelly, Michael and Renee. Her talents as a home maker were legendary. With very little resources she managed to transform every home she lived in into the envy of the neighborhood, with her ability to turn her home into an interior decorated showcase. She loved to entertain and welcomed family and friends into her home. She instilled in her children moral values such as; sharing, sacrificing and caring for others. She was a joy to be with having the talent to make people around her feel good with her story telling skill, her wit and her humor. Bette Lou and her husband Harold had two favorite song lyrics which expressed their love for each other. " I can only give you love that lasts forever, And a promise to be near each time you call. And the only heart I own For you and you alone That's all, That's all…" "It's not the pale moon that excites me That thrills and delights me, oh no It's just the nearness of you It isn't your sweet conversation That brings this sensation, oh no It's just the nearness of you." Bette Lou Rosenberg is survived by her husband, Harold; her eldest daughter Michelle (Shelly) and her husband, William (Bill); her son Michael and is wife, Tina; her youngest daughter Renee; her sister Bernice; her grandchildren; Eric, Jennifer, Michael Jr., Travis, Trent and Brittnee; great grandson Adam; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline and Alberta.
