San Diego-Tony was born in Detroit, MI and moved to San Diego with his family when he was 22 months old. He went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017 with his entire family by his side. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank. Everyone who knew Tony knew he was the life of the party. Tony had many, many friends. He was very adventurous and loved trying new things. After graduating from San Diego High, where he was the "cave man" in 1964, he became a cosmetologist and worked for Charles Hair Stylists. From there Tony moved on to crab fishing in Alaska. He then became a Drywall Taper and worked for La Russa & Sons for over thirty years. Some of Tony's hobbies were photography, cooking, golfing and umpiring. In his later years, he loved to smoke his cigar on the front porch while tending to his garden and chatting with neighbors. Family meant everything to Tony. He and his beloved wife Freda (Santos) were married for 48 glorious years. Tony is also survived by his daughter Lisa, son Anthony (Noemi), grandchildren Matthew and Elizabeth, mother Frances, brothers Joe (Theresa) and Matt (Maria) and loving sister RoseMarie. He also leaves behind many additional friends and relatives. Services will be May 31st at 10:00 am; St. Vincent de Paul Church, 4080 Hawk St., San Diego 92103.
